30 Day Challenge: Day 7

Day 7: My Favorite Movies

I 'm sorry that I am blogging so late tonight. But I am in a great mood tonight, because my best friend and i just got back from seeing "Never Say Never". I know so many people hate on Justin Bieber, but it was such a great movie! ANYWAYS, back to why we are here. My favorite movies. I have quite a few that I really like, but at this moment I will name my top 3.

Black Swan
This movie is so great, unlike any other movie I have ever seen in my life. I love movies that make you think, and this one definitely does that. If you have not seen this movie, I highly, highly recommend it.

Requiem for a Dream
This movie totally and completely freaked me out, I left this movie feeling disgusted. If you are ever considering taking drugs, you need to watch this movie. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. In the beginning they make drugs look fun and super cool, and by the end you will be completely repulsed. I love it!

Emperors New Groove
This movie does not get enough credit, for how great it is! My best friend and I would watch this movie constantly. How could you not fall in love with characters like Kronk and Izma. "Squeakyity squeak sqeakers squeak." If you were a squirrel you would understand.

30 Day Challenge: Day 6

Day 6: A picture of something that makes you happy
Words cannot explain how much I love this little monkey. I am so excited to go home everyday just so I can see him. Before I go any futher, let me introduce to you my nephew Kalen. I love kids, but it is COMPLETELY different when it is your family. You can only have so much compassion and patience for someone elses children. I am so happy my sister Rayna lives close, because I do not know what I would do if I didn't get to see this cute little mug everyday. He literally can turn my day around, just by spending a few minutes with him. He will do one thing to totally amaze me. I better get going, Zach thinks I am a total nerd with all my "blogging".

30 Day Challenge: Day 4

Day 4: Your Parents

You definitely can't choose your family, and some people aren't as lucky to have such great parents. Well I am glad that I am one of the lucky ones. I can't thank my parents enough for everything they have provided, and taugh me. My mom is always there for me when I am down, and knows exactly what to say to me so that I feel better. We can sit and talk for hours and hours. My Dad Ken is actually my stepdad, but has played the role of my Dad my whole life. Through ups and downs, he was always the one there for me, and I could never thank him enough for everything he has done. If you ever want to tell a joke to someone, who will guarantee laugh, its him. I love both of my parents to death, and I don't know where I would be with out them.

30 Day Challenge: Day 3

Day 3: First Love

I don't know why, but it feels really weird to be talking about my first love. I think because usually when people talk about their first love, they look back and talk about how much they learned and mistakes etc. I dated when I was younger, but I always felt either I was too immature or the other person was, so I never really took it seriously. I was more about hanging out wth my friends and enjoying my own personal time and independence. I never thought that I would meet someone that makes me as happy as I am. But hey, we all get lucky sometimes.
I met Zach when I was sixteen. He is everything I (or a father of a teenage girl) could ever ask for. He is one of the most caring, polite and respectful men I have ever met. I have never had so much fun with a person. He has taught me so much, and we have grown a lot together. I have never felt so much love from one person besides a family member, and I can confidently say that I know that he really genuinely cares for me. I know that I should count my blessings every day for finding a guy that I can call a boyfriend, and a best friend.

30 Day Challenge: Day 2

Day 2: Meaning behind your blog name

Carpe Diem: Seize the Day
I am the type of person to stress, and stress and stress about what is to come tomorrow. Constantly planning for what is to come. Or worse, what is not to come. The goal behind this blog, is to start taking things on a day to day basis. I need to start taking advantage of all that I am blessed with today, not tomorrow or a month from now, because that is more likely to let you down when they dont happen. Of course it is unrealistic not to worry or care about what tomorrow has in store, because that can be rather careless. But that is no reason for me to totally forget about how lucky I am today. Well, until tomorrow....
